How far will DJs usually travel to a job? Do they charge more based on distance?

Anything outside of a 10 miles rang will be charged a additional $50
Depends on what type of event or what the pay is to travel.
I travel to multiple States on the East coast. Normally I charge more to cover lodging and transportation cost if needed. Anything inside of an hour drive from home I consider local to me.
I travel throughout the United States and Internationally. I am locally based in the Princeton, New Jersey area.

Under 150 miles round trip I usually do a smaller upcharge, a flat rate of between $10 - $20 depending on circumstances. Longer distances I set the rate to $2.00 per mile based on my home to the destination - Based on ONE WAY to cover the entire trip in Gas and LODGING. Most professional DJs in my area are charging the same on the longer trips.
